2 And they stood5975 before6440 Moses,4872 and before6440 Eleazar499 the priest,3548 and before6440 the princes5387 and all3605 the congregation,5712 by the door6607 of the tabernacle168 of the congregation,4150 saying,559

8 And thou shalt speak1696 unto413 the children1121 of Israel,3478 saying,559 If3588 a man376 die,4191 and have no369 son,1121 then ye shall cause 853 his inheritance5159 to pass5674 unto his daughter.1323
9 And if518 he have no369 daughter,1323 then ye shall give5414 853 his inheritance5159 unto his brethren.251

18 And the LORD3068 said559 unto413 Moses,4872 Take3947 thee 853 Joshua3091 the son1121 of Nun,5126 a man376 in whom834 is the spirit,7307 and lay5564 853 thine hand3027 upon5921 him;
19 And set5975 him before6440 Eleazar499 the priest,3548 and before6440 all3605 the congregation;5712 and give him a charge6680 853 in their sight.5869
20 And thou shalt put5414 some of thine honor4480 1935 upon5921 him, that4616 all3605 the congregation5712 of the children1121 of Israel3478 may be obedient.8085
21 And he shall stand5975 before6440 Eleazar499 the priest,3548 who shall ask7592 counsel for him after the judgment4941 of Urim224 before6440 the Lord:3068 at5921 his word6310 shall they go out,3318 and at5921 his word6310 they shall come in,935 both he,1931 and all3605 the children1121 of Israel3478 with854 him, even all3605 the congregation.5712
22 And Moses4872 did6213 as834 the LORD3068 commanded6680 him: and he took3947 853 Joshua,3091 and set5975 him before6440 Eleazar499 the priest,3548 and before6440 all3605 the congregation:5712
23 And he laid5564 853 his hands3027 upon5921 him, and gave him a charge,6680 as834 the LORD3068 commanded1696 by the hand3027 of Moses.4872

1 καὶ προσελθοῦσαι αἱ θυγατέρες Σαλπααδ υἱοῦ Οφερ υἱοῦ Γαλααδ υἱοῦ Μαχιρ τοῦ δήμου Μανασση τῶν υἱῶν Ιωσηφ καὶ ταῦτα τὰ ὀνόματα αὐτῶν Μαλα καὶ Νουα καὶ Εγλα καὶ Μελχα καὶ Θερσα
2 καὶ στᾶσαι ἔναντι Μωυσῆ καὶ ἔναντι Ελεαζαρ τοῦ ἱερέως καὶ ἔναντι τῶν ἀρχόντων καὶ ἔναντι πάσης συναγωγῆς ἐπὶ τῆς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου λέγουσιν
3 ὁ πατὴρ ἡμῶν ἀπέθανεν ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ καὶ αὐτὸς οὐκ ἦν ἐν μέσῳ τῆς συναγωγῆς τῆς ἐπισυστάσης ἔναντι κυρίου ἐν τῇ συναγωγῇ Κορε ὅτι διὰ ἁμαρτίαν αὐτοῦ ἀπέθανεν καὶ υἱοὶ οὐκ ἐγένοντο αὐτῷ
4 μὴ ἐξαλειφθήτω τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ πατρὸς ἡμῶν ἐκ μέσου τοῦ δήμου αὐτοῦ ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν αὐτῷ υἱός δότε ἡμῖν κατάσχεσιν ἐν μέσῳ ἀδελφῶν πατρὸς ἡμῶν
5 καὶ προσήγαγεν Μωυσῆς τὴν κρίσιν αὐτῶν ἔναντι κυρίου
6 καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων
7 ὀρθῶς θυγατέρες Σαλπααδ λελαλήκασιν δόμα δώσεις αὐταῖς κατάσχεσιν κληρονομίας ἐν μέσῳ ἀδελφῶν πατρὸς αὐτῶν καὶ περιθήσεις τὸν κλῆρον τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτῶν αὐταῖς
8 καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ λαλήσεις λέγων ἄνθρωπος ἐὰν ἀποθάνῃ καὶ υἱὸς μὴ ᾖ αὐτῷ περιθήσετε τὴν κληρονομίαν αὐτοῦ τῇ θυγατρὶ αὐτοῦ
9 ἐὰν δὲ μὴ ᾖ θυγάτηρ αὐτῷ δώσετε τὴν κληρονομίαν τῷ ἀδελφῷ αὐτοῦ
10 ἐὰν δὲ μὴ ὦσιν αὐτῷ ἀδελφοί δώσετε τὴν κληρονομίαν τῷ ἀδελφῷ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ
11 ἐὰν δὲ μὴ ὦσιν ἀδελφοὶ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ δώσετε τὴν κληρονομίαν τῷ οἰκείῳ τῷ ἔγγιστα αὐτοῦ ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς αὐτοῦ κληρονομήσει τὰ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔσται τοῦτο τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ δικαίωμα κρίσεως καθὰ συνέταξεν κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ
12 καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν ἀνάβηθι εἰς τὸ ὄρος τὸ ἐν τῷ πέραν τοῦτο ὄρος Ναβαυ καὶ ἰδὲ τὴν γῆν Χανααν ἣν ἐγὼ δίδωμι τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ ἐν κατασχέσει
13 καὶ ὄψει αὐτὴν καὶ προστεθήσῃ πρὸς τὸν λαόν σου καὶ σύ καθὰ προσετέθη Ααρων ὁ ἀδελφός σου ἐν Ωρ τῷ ὄρει
14 διότι παρέβητε τὸ ῥῆμά μου ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ Σιν ἐν τῷ ἀντιπίπτειν τὴν συναγωγὴν ἁγιάσαι με οὐχ ἡγιάσατέ με ἐπὶ τῷ ὕδατι ἔναντι αὐτῶν τοῦτό ἐστιν ὕδωρ ἀντιλογίας Καδης ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ Σιν
15 καὶ εἶπεν Μωυσῆς πρὸς κύριον
16 ἐπισκεψάσθω κύριος ὁ θεὸς τῶν πνευμάτων καὶ πάσης σαρκὸς ἄνθρωπον ἐπὶ τῆς συναγωγῆς ταύτης
17 ὅστις ἐξελεύσεται πρὸ προσώπου αὐτῶν καὶ ὅστις εἰσελεύσεται πρὸ προσώπου αὐτῶν καὶ ὅστις ἐξάξει αὐτοὺς καὶ ὅστις εἰσάξει αὐτούς καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ἡ συναγωγὴ κυρίου ὡσεὶ πρόβατα οἷς οὐκ ἔστιν ποιμήν
18 καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων λαβὲ πρὸς σεαυτὸν τὸν Ἰησοῦν υἱὸν Ναυη ἄνθρωπον ὃς ἔχει πνεῦμα ἐν ἑαυτῷ καὶ ἐπιθήσεις τὰς χεῖράς σου ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν
19 καὶ στήσεις αὐτὸν ἔναντι Ελεαζαρ τοῦ ἱερέως καὶ ἐντελῇ αὐτῷ ἔναντι πάσης συναγωγῆς καὶ ἐντελῇ περὶ αὐτοῦ ἐναντίον αὐτῶν
20 καὶ δώσεις τῆς δόξης σου ἐπ᾽ αὐτόν ὅπως ἂν εἰσακούσωσιν αὐτοῦ οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ
21 καὶ ἔναντι Ελεαζαρ τοῦ ἱερέως στήσεται καὶ ἐπερωτήσουσιν αὐτὸν τὴν κρίσιν τῶν δήλων ἔναντι κυρίου ἐπὶ τῷ στόματι αὐτοῦ ἐξελεύσονται καὶ ἐπὶ τῷ στόματι αὐτοῦ εἰσελεύσονται αὐτὸς καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ ὁμοθυμαδὸν καὶ πᾶσα ἡ συναγωγή
22 καὶ ἐποίησεν Μωυσῆς καθὰ ἐνετείλατο αὐτῷ κύριος καὶ λαβὼν τὸν Ἰησοῦν ἔστησεν αὐτὸν ἐναντίον Ελεαζαρ τοῦ ἱερέως καὶ ἔναντι πάσης συναγωγῆς
23 καὶ ἐπέθηκεν τὰς χεῖρας αὐτοῦ ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν καὶ συνέστησεν αὐτόν καθάπερ συνέταξεν κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ

1 וַתִּקְרַ֜בְנָה בְּנ֣וֹת צְלָפְחָ֗ד בֶּן־חֵ֤פֶר בֶּן־גִּלְעָד֙ בֶּן־מָכִ֣יר בֶּן־מְנַשֶּׁ֔ה לְמִשְׁפְּחֹ֖ת מְנַשֶּׁ֣ה בֶן־יוֹסֵ֑ף וְאֵ֙לֶּה֙ שְׁמ֣וֹת בְּנֹתָ֔יו מַחְלָ֣ה נֹעָ֔ה וְחָגְלָ֥ה וּמִלְכָּ֖ה וְתִרְצָֽה׃
2 וַֽתַּעֲמֹ֜דְנָה לִפְנֵ֣י מֹשֶׁ֗ה וְלִפְנֵי֙ אֶלְעָזָ֣ר הַכֹּהֵ֔ן וְלִפְנֵ֥י הַנְּשִׂיאִ֖ם וְכָל־הָעֵדָ֑ה פֶּ֥תַח אֹֽהֶל־מוֹעֵ֖ד לֵאמֹֽר׃
3 אָבִינוּ֮ מֵ֣ת בַּמִּדְבָּר֒ וְה֨וּא לֹא־הָיָ֜ה בְּת֣וֹךְ הָעֵדָ֗ה הַנּוֹעָדִ֛ים עַל־יְהוָ֖ה בַּעֲדַת־קֹ֑רַח כִּֽי־בְחֶטְא֣וֹ מֵ֔ת וּבָנִ֖ים לֹא־הָ֥יוּ לֽוֹ׃
4 לָ֣מָּה יִגָּרַ֤ע שֵׁם־אָבִ֙ינוּ֙ מִתּ֣וֹךְ מִשְׁפַּחְתּ֔וֹ כִּ֛י אֵ֥ין ל֖וֹ בֵּ֑ן תְּנָה־לָּ֣נוּ אֲחֻזָּ֔ה בְּת֖וֹךְ אֲחֵ֥י אָבִֽינוּ׃
5 וַיַּקְרֵ֥ב מֹשֶׁ֛ה אֶת־מִשְׁפָּטָ֖ן5 לִפְנֵ֥י יְהוָֽה׃ ס

7 כֵּ֗ן בְּנ֣וֹת צְלָפְחָד֮ דֹּבְרֹת֒ נָתֹ֨ן תִּתֵּ֤ן לָהֶם֙ אֲחֻזַּ֣ת נַחֲלָ֔ה בְּת֖וֹךְ אֲחֵ֣י אֲבִיהֶ֑ם וְהַֽעֲבַרְתָּ֛ אֶת־נַחֲלַ֥ת אֲבִיהֶ֖ן לָהֶֽן׃
8 וְאֶל־בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל תְּדַבֵּ֣ר לֵאמֹ֑ר אִ֣ישׁ כִּֽי־יָמ֗וּת וּבֵן֙ אֵ֣ין ל֔וֹ וְהַֽעֲבַרְתֶּ֥ם אֶת־נַחֲלָת֖וֹ לְבִתּֽוֹ׃
9 וְאִם־אֵ֥ין ל֖וֹ בַּ֑ת וּנְתַתֶּ֥ם אֶת־נַחֲלָת֖וֹ לְאֶחָיו׃1
10 וְאִם־אֵ֥ין ל֖וֹ אַחִ֑ים וּנְתַתֶּ֥ם אֶת־נַחֲלָת֖וֹ לַאֲחֵ֥י אָבִֽיו׃

12 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֔ה עֲלֵ֛ה אֶל־הַ֥ר הָעֲבָרִ֖ים הַזֶּ֑ה וּרְאֵה֙ אֶת־הָאָ֔רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֥ר נָתַ֖תִּי לִבְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
13 וְרָאִ֣יתָה אֹתָ֔הּ וְנֶאֱסַפְתָּ֥ אֶל־עַמֶּ֖יךָ גַּם־אָ֑תָּה כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר נֶאֱסַ֖ף אַהֲרֹ֥ן אָחִֽיךָ׃
14 כַּאֲשֶׁר֩ מְרִיתֶ֨ם פִּ֜י בְּמִדְבַּר־צִ֗ן בִּמְרִיבַת֙ הָֽעֵדָ֔ה לְהַקְדִּישֵׁ֥נִי בַמַּ֖יִם לְעֵינֵיהֶ֑ם הֵ֛ם מֵֽי־מְרִיבַ֥ת קָדֵ֖שׁ מִדְבַּר־צִֽן׃ פ
15 וַיְדַבֵּ֣ר מֹשֶׁ֔ה אֶל־יְהוָ֖ה לֵאמֹֽר׃
16 יִפְקֹ֣ד יְהוָ֔ה אֱלֹהֵ֥י הָרוּחֹ֖ת לְכָל־בָּשָׂ֑ר אִ֖ישׁ עַל־הָעֵדָֽה׃
17 אֲשֶׁר־יֵצֵ֣א לִפְנֵיהֶ֗ם וַאֲשֶׁ֤ר יָבֹא֙ לִפְנֵיהֶ֔ם וַאֲשֶׁ֥ר יוֹצִיאֵ֖ם וַאֲשֶׁ֣ר יְבִיאֵ֑ם וְלֹ֤א תִהְיֶה֙ עֲדַ֣ת יְהוָ֔ה כַּצֹּ֕אן אֲשֶׁ֥ר אֵין־לָהֶ֖ם רֹעֶֽה׃
18 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהוָ֜ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֗ה קַח־לְךָ֙ אֶת־יְהוֹשֻׁ֣עַ בִּן־נ֔וּן אִ֖ישׁ אֲשֶׁר־ר֣וּחַ בּ֑וֹ וְסָמַכְתָּ֥ אֶת־יָדְךָ֖ עָלָֽיו׃
19 וְהַֽעֲמַדְתָּ֣ אֹת֗וֹ לִפְנֵי֙ אֶלְעָזָ֣ר הַכֹּהֵ֔ן וְלִפְנֵ֖י כָּל־הָעֵדָ֑ה וְצִוִּיתָ֥ה אֹת֖וֹ לְעֵינֵיהֶֽם׃
20 וְנָתַתָּ֥ה מֵהֽוֹדְךָ֖ עָלָ֑יו לְמַ֣עַן יִשְׁמְע֔וּ כָּל־עֲדַ֖ת בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
21 וְלִפְנֵ֨י אֶלְעָזָ֤ר הַכֹּהֵן֙ יַעֲמֹ֔ד וְשָׁ֥אַל ל֛וֹ בְּמִשְׁפַּ֥ט הָאוּרִ֖ים לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה עַל־פִּ֨יו יֵצְא֜וּ וְעַל־פִּ֣יו יָבֹ֗אוּ ה֛וּא וְכָל־בְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֥ל אִתּ֖וֹ וְכָל־הָעֵדָֽה׃
22 וַיַּ֣עַשׂ מֹשֶׁ֔ה כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר צִוָּ֥ה יְהוָ֖ה אֹת֑וֹ וַיִּקַּ֣ח אֶת־יְהוֹשֻׁ֗עַ וַיַּֽעֲמִדֵ֙הוּ֙ לִפְנֵי֙ אֶלְעָזָ֣ר הַכֹּהֵ֔ן וְלִפְנֵ֖י כָּל־הָעֵדָֽה׃
23 וַיִּסְמֹ֧ךְ אֶת־יָדָ֛יו עָלָ֖יו וַיְצַוֵּ֑הוּ כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר דִּבֶּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה בְּיַד־מֹשֶֽׁה׃ פ

1 Accesserunt autem fili Salphaad, filii Hepher, filii Galaad, filii Machir, filii Manasse, qui fuit filius Joseph: quarum sunt nomina, Maala, et Noa, et Hegla, et Melcha, et Thersa.
2 Steteruntque coram Moyse et Eleazaro sacerdote et cunctis principibus populi ad ostium tabernaculi fderis, atque dixerunt:
3 Pater noster mortuus est in deserto, nec fuit in seditione, qu concitata est contra Dominum sub Core, sed in peccato suo mortuus est: hic non habuit mares filios. Cur tollitur nomen illius de familia sua, quia non habuit filium? date nobis possessionem inter cognatos patris nostri.
4 Retulitque Moyses causam earum ad judicium Domini.
5 Qui dixit ad eum:
6 Justam rem postulant fili Salphaad: da eis possessionem inter cognatos patris sui, et ei in hreditatem succedant.
7 Ad filios autem Isral loqueris hc:
8 Homo cum mortuus fuerit absque filio, ad filiam ejus transibit hreditas.
9 Si filiam non habuerit, habebit successores fratres suos.
10 Quod si et fratres non fuerint, dabitis hreditatem fratribus patris ejus.
11 Sin autem nec patruos habuerit, dabitur hreditas his qui ei proximi sunt. Eritque hoc filiis Isral sanctum lege perpetua, sicut prcepit Dominus Moysi.
12 Dixit quoque Dominus ad Moysen: Ascende in montem istum Abarim, et contemplare inde terram, quam daturus sum filiis Isral.
13 Cumque videris eam, ibis et tu ad populum tuum, sicut ivit frater tuus Aaron:
14 quia offendistis me in deserto Sin in contradictione multitudinis, nec sanctificare me voluistis coram ea super aquas. H sunt aqu contradictionis in Cades deserti Sin.
15 Cui respondit Moyses:
16 Provideat Dominus Deus spirituum omnis carnis hominem, qui sit super multitudinem hanc:
17 et possit exire et intrare ante eos, et educere eos vel introducere: ne sit populus Domini sicut oves absque pastore.
18 Dixitque Dominus ad eum: Tolle Josue filium Nun, virum in quo est spiritus, et pone manum tuam super eum.
19 Qui stabit coram Eleazaro sacerdote et omni multitudine:
20 et dabis ei prcepta cunctis videntibus, et partem glori tu, ut audiat eum omnis synagoga filiorum Isral.
21 Pro hoc, si quid agendum erit, Eleazar sacerdos consulet Dominum. Ad verbum ejus egredietur et ingredietur ipse, et omnes filii Isral cum eo, et cetera multitudo.
22 Fecit Moyses ut prceperat Dominus: cumque tulisset Josue, statuit eum coram Eleazaro sacerdote et omni frequentia populi.
23 Et impositis capiti ejus manibus, cuncta replicavit qu mandaverat Dominus.

1 καὶ προσελθοῦσαι αἱ θυγατέρες Σαλπααδ υἱοῦ Οφερ υἱοῦ Γαλααδ υἱοῦ Μαχιρ τοῦ δήμου Μανασση τῶν υἱῶν Ιωσηφ καὶ ταῦτα τὰ ὀνόματα αὐτῶν Μαλα καὶ Νουα καὶ Εγλα καὶ Μελχα καὶ Θερσα
2 καὶ στᾶσαι ἔναντι Μωυσῆ καὶ ἔναντι Ελεαζαρ τοῦ ἱερέως καὶ ἔναντι τῶν ἀρχόντων καὶ ἔναντι πάσης συναγωγῆς ἐπὶ τῆς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου λέγουσιν
3 ὁ πατὴρ ἡμῶν ἀπέθανεν ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ καὶ αὐτὸς οὐκ ἦν ἐν μέσῳ τῆς συναγωγῆς τῆς ἐπισυστάσης ἔναντι κυρίου ἐν τῇ συναγωγῇ Κορε ὅτι διὰ ἁμαρτίαν αὐτοῦ ἀπέθανεν καὶ υἱοὶ οὐκ ἐγένοντο αὐτῷ
4 μὴ ἐξαλειφθήτω τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ πατρὸς ἡμῶν ἐκ μέσου τοῦ δήμου αὐτοῦ ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν αὐτῷ υἱός δότε ἡμῖν κατάσχεσιν ἐν μέσῳ ἀδελφῶν πατρὸς ἡμῶν
5 καὶ προσήγαγεν Μωυσῆς τὴν κρίσιν αὐτῶν ἔναντι κυρίου
6 καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων
7 ὀρθῶς θυγατέρες Σαλπααδ λελαλήκασιν δόμα δώσεις αὐταῖς κατάσχεσιν κληρονομίας ἐν μέσῳ ἀδελφῶν πατρὸς αὐτῶν καὶ περιθήσεις τὸν κλῆρον τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτῶν αὐταῖς
8 καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ λαλήσεις λέγων ἄνθρωπος ἐὰν ἀποθάνῃ καὶ υἱὸς μὴ ᾖ αὐτῷ περιθήσετε τὴν κληρονομίαν αὐτοῦ τῇ θυγατρὶ αὐτοῦ
9 ἐὰν δὲ μὴ ᾖ θυγάτηρ αὐτῷ δώσετε τὴν κληρονομίαν τῷ ἀδελφῷ αὐτοῦ
10 ἐὰν δὲ μὴ ὦσιν αὐτῷ ἀδελφοί δώσετε τὴν κληρονομίαν τῷ ἀδελφῷ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ
11 ἐὰν δὲ μὴ ὦσιν ἀδελφοὶ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ δώσετε τὴν κληρονομίαν τῷ οἰκείῳ τῷ ἔγγιστα αὐτοῦ ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς αὐτοῦ κληρονομήσει τὰ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔσται τοῦτο τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ δικαίωμα κρίσεως καθὰ συνέταξεν κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ
12 καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν ἀνάβηθι εἰς τὸ ὄρος τὸ ἐν τῷ πέραν τοῦτο ὄρος Ναβαυ καὶ ἰδὲ τὴν γῆν Χανααν ἣν ἐγὼ δίδωμι τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ ἐν κατασχέσει
13 καὶ ὄψει αὐτὴν καὶ προστεθήσῃ πρὸς τὸν λαόν σου καὶ σύ καθὰ προσετέθη Ααρων ὁ ἀδελφός σου ἐν Ωρ τῷ ὄρει
14 διότι παρέβητε τὸ ῥῆμά μου ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ Σιν ἐν τῷ ἀντιπίπτειν τὴν συναγωγὴν ἁγιάσαι με οὐχ ἡγιάσατέ με ἐπὶ τῷ ὕδατι ἔναντι αὐτῶν τοῦτό ἐστιν ὕδωρ ἀντιλογίας Καδης ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ Σιν
15 καὶ εἶπεν Μωυσῆς πρὸς κύριον
16 ἐπισκεψάσθω κύριος ὁ θεὸς τῶν πνευμάτων καὶ πάσης σαρκὸς ἄνθρωπον ἐπὶ τῆς συναγωγῆς ταύτης
17 ὅστις ἐξελεύσεται πρὸ προσώπου αὐτῶν καὶ ὅστις εἰσελεύσεται πρὸ προσώπου αὐτῶν καὶ ὅστις ἐξάξει αὐτοὺς καὶ ὅστις εἰσάξει αὐτούς καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ἡ συναγωγὴ κυρίου ὡσεὶ πρόβατα οἷς οὐκ ἔστιν ποιμήν
18 καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων λαβὲ πρὸς σεαυτὸν τὸν Ἰησοῦν υἱὸν Ναυη ἄνθρωπον ὃς ἔχει πνεῦμα ἐν ἑαυτῷ καὶ ἐπιθήσεις τὰς χεῖράς σου ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν
19 καὶ στήσεις αὐτὸν ἔναντι Ελεαζαρ τοῦ ἱερέως καὶ ἐντελῇ αὐτῷ ἔναντι πάσης συναγωγῆς καὶ ἐντελῇ περὶ αὐτοῦ ἐναντίον αὐτῶν
20 καὶ δώσεις τῆς δόξης σου ἐπ᾽ αὐτόν ὅπως ἂν εἰσακούσωσιν αὐτοῦ οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ
21 καὶ ἔναντι Ελεαζαρ τοῦ ἱερέως στήσεται καὶ ἐπερωτήσουσιν αὐτὸν τὴν κρίσιν τῶν δήλων ἔναντι κυρίου ἐπὶ τῷ στόματι αὐτοῦ ἐξελεύσονται καὶ ἐπὶ τῷ στόματι αὐτοῦ εἰσελεύσονται αὐτὸς καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ ὁμοθυμαδὸν καὶ πᾶσα ἡ συναγωγή
22 καὶ ἐποίησεν Μωυσῆς καθὰ ἐνετείλατο αὐτῷ κύριος καὶ λαβὼν τὸν Ἰησοῦν ἔστησεν αὐτὸν ἐναντίον Ελεαζαρ τοῦ ἱερέως καὶ ἔναντι πάσης συναγωγῆς
23 καὶ ἐπέθηκεν τὰς χεῖρας αὐτοῦ ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν καὶ συνέστησεν αὐτόν καθάπερ συνέταξεν κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ

1 וַתִּקְרַ֜בְנָה בְּנ֣וֹת צְלָפְחָ֗ד בֶּן־חֵ֤פֶר בֶּן־גִּלְעָד֙ בֶּן־מָכִ֣יר בֶּן־מְנַשֶּׁ֔ה לְמִשְׁפְּחֹ֖ת מְנַשֶּׁ֣ה בֶן־יוֹסֵ֑ף וְאֵ֙לֶּה֙ שְׁמ֣וֹת בְּנֹתָ֔יו מַחְלָ֣ה נֹעָ֔ה וְחָגְלָ֥ה וּמִלְכָּ֖ה וְתִרְצָֽה׃
2 וַֽתַּעֲמֹ֜דְנָה לִפְנֵ֣י מֹשֶׁ֗ה וְלִפְנֵי֙ אֶלְעָזָ֣ר הַכֹּהֵ֔ן וְלִפְנֵ֥י הַנְּשִׂיאִ֖ם וְכָל־הָעֵדָ֑ה פֶּ֥תַח אֹֽהֶל־מוֹעֵ֖ד לֵאמֹֽר׃
3 אָבִינוּ֮ מֵ֣ת בַּמִּדְבָּר֒ וְה֨וּא לֹא־הָיָ֜ה בְּת֣וֹךְ הָעֵדָ֗ה הַנּוֹעָדִ֛ים עַל־יְהוָ֖ה בַּעֲדַת־קֹ֑רַח כִּֽי־בְחֶטְא֣וֹ מֵ֔ת וּבָנִ֖ים לֹא־הָ֥יוּ לֽוֹ׃
4 לָ֣מָּה יִגָּרַ֤ע שֵׁם־אָבִ֙ינוּ֙ מִתּ֣וֹךְ מִשְׁפַּחְתּ֔וֹ כִּ֛י אֵ֥ין ל֖וֹ בֵּ֑ן תְּנָה־לָּ֣נוּ אֲחֻזָּ֔ה בְּת֖וֹךְ אֲחֵ֥י אָבִֽינוּ׃
5 וַיַּקְרֵ֥ב מֹשֶׁ֛ה אֶת־מִשְׁפָּטָ֖ן5 לִפְנֵ֥י יְהוָֽה׃ ס
6 וַיֹּ֥אמֶר יְהוָ֖ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃
7 כֵּ֗ן בְּנ֣וֹת צְלָפְחָד֮ דֹּבְרֹת֒ נָתֹ֨ן תִּתֵּ֤ן לָהֶם֙ אֲחֻזַּ֣ת נַחֲלָ֔ה בְּת֖וֹךְ אֲחֵ֣י אֲבִיהֶ֑ם וְהַֽעֲבַרְתָּ֛ אֶת־נַחֲלַ֥ת אֲבִיהֶ֖ן לָהֶֽן׃
8 וְאֶל־בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל תְּדַבֵּ֣ר לֵאמֹ֑ר אִ֣ישׁ כִּֽי־יָמ֗וּת וּבֵן֙ אֵ֣ין ל֔וֹ וְהַֽעֲבַרְתֶּ֥ם אֶת־נַחֲלָת֖וֹ לְבִתּֽוֹ׃
9 וְאִם־אֵ֥ין ל֖וֹ בַּ֑ת וּנְתַתֶּ֥ם אֶת־נַחֲלָת֖וֹ לְאֶחָיו׃1
10 וְאִם־אֵ֥ין ל֖וֹ אַחִ֑ים וּנְתַתֶּ֥ם אֶת־נַחֲלָת֖וֹ לַאֲחֵ֥י אָבִֽיו׃
11 וְאִם־אֵ֣ין אַחִים֮ לְאָבִיו֒ וּנְתַתֶּ֣ם אֶת־נַחֲלָת֗וֹ לִשְׁאֵר֞וֹ הַקָּרֹ֥ב אֵלָ֛יו מִמִּשְׁפַּחְתּ֖וֹ וְיָרַ֣שׁ אֹתָ֑הּ וְֽהָ֨יְתָ֜ה לִבְנֵ֤י יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ לְחֻקַּ֣ת מִשְׁפָּ֔ט כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר צִוָּ֥ה יְהוָ֖ה אֶת־מֹשֶֽׁה׃ ס
12 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֔ה עֲלֵ֛ה אֶל־הַ֥ר הָעֲבָרִ֖ים הַזֶּ֑ה וּרְאֵה֙ אֶת־הָאָ֔רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֥ר נָתַ֖תִּי לִבְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
13 וְרָאִ֣יתָה אֹתָ֔הּ וְנֶאֱסַפְתָּ֥ אֶל־עַמֶּ֖יךָ גַּם־אָ֑תָּה כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר נֶאֱסַ֖ף אַהֲרֹ֥ן אָחִֽיךָ׃
14 כַּאֲשֶׁר֩ מְרִיתֶ֨ם פִּ֜י בְּמִדְבַּר־צִ֗ן בִּמְרִיבַת֙ הָֽעֵדָ֔ה לְהַקְדִּישֵׁ֥נִי בַמַּ֖יִם לְעֵינֵיהֶ֑ם הֵ֛ם מֵֽי־מְרִיבַ֥ת קָדֵ֖שׁ מִדְבַּר־צִֽן׃ פ
15 וַיְדַבֵּ֣ר מֹשֶׁ֔ה אֶל־יְהוָ֖ה לֵאמֹֽר׃
16 יִפְקֹ֣ד יְהוָ֔ה אֱלֹהֵ֥י הָרוּחֹ֖ת לְכָל־בָּשָׂ֑ר אִ֖ישׁ עַל־הָעֵדָֽה׃
17 אֲשֶׁר־יֵצֵ֣א לִפְנֵיהֶ֗ם וַאֲשֶׁ֤ר יָבֹא֙ לִפְנֵיהֶ֔ם וַאֲשֶׁ֥ר יוֹצִיאֵ֖ם וַאֲשֶׁ֣ר יְבִיאֵ֑ם וְלֹ֤א תִהְיֶה֙ עֲדַ֣ת יְהוָ֔ה כַּצֹּ֕אן אֲשֶׁ֥ר אֵין־לָהֶ֖ם רֹעֶֽה׃
18 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהוָ֜ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֗ה קַח־לְךָ֙ אֶת־יְהוֹשֻׁ֣עַ בִּן־נ֔וּן אִ֖ישׁ אֲשֶׁר־ר֣וּחַ בּ֑וֹ וְסָמַכְתָּ֥ אֶת־יָדְךָ֖ עָלָֽיו׃
19 וְהַֽעֲמַדְתָּ֣ אֹת֗וֹ לִפְנֵי֙ אֶלְעָזָ֣ר הַכֹּהֵ֔ן וְלִפְנֵ֖י כָּל־הָעֵדָ֑ה וְצִוִּיתָ֥ה אֹת֖וֹ לְעֵינֵיהֶֽם׃
20 וְנָתַתָּ֥ה מֵהֽוֹדְךָ֖ עָלָ֑יו לְמַ֣עַן יִשְׁמְע֔וּ כָּל־עֲדַ֖ת בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
21 וְלִפְנֵ֨י אֶלְעָזָ֤ר הַכֹּהֵן֙ יַעֲמֹ֔ד וְשָׁ֥אַל ל֛וֹ בְּמִשְׁפַּ֥ט הָאוּרִ֖ים לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה עַל־פִּ֨יו יֵצְא֜וּ וְעַל־פִּ֣יו יָבֹ֗אוּ ה֛וּא וְכָל־בְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֥ל אִתּ֖וֹ וְכָל־הָעֵדָֽה׃
22 וַיַּ֣עַשׂ מֹשֶׁ֔ה כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר צִוָּ֥ה יְהוָ֖ה אֹת֑וֹ וַיִּקַּ֣ח אֶת־יְהוֹשֻׁ֗עַ וַיַּֽעֲמִדֵ֙הוּ֙ לִפְנֵי֙ אֶלְעָזָ֣ר הַכֹּהֵ֔ן וְלִפְנֵ֖י כָּל־הָעֵדָֽה׃
23 וַיִּסְמֹ֧ךְ אֶת־יָדָ֛יו עָלָ֖יו וַיְצַוֵּ֑הוּ כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר דִּבֶּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה בְּיַד־מֹשֶֽׁה׃ פ

1 Accesserunt autem fili Salphaad, filii Hepher, filii Galaad, filii Machir, filii Manasse, qui fuit filius Joseph: quarum sunt nomina, Maala, et Noa, et Hegla, et Melcha, et Thersa.
2 Steteruntque coram Moyse et Eleazaro sacerdote et cunctis principibus populi ad ostium tabernaculi fderis, atque dixerunt:
3 Pater noster mortuus est in deserto, nec fuit in seditione, qu concitata est contra Dominum sub Core, sed in peccato suo mortuus est: hic non habuit mares filios. Cur tollitur nomen illius de familia sua, quia non habuit filium? date nobis possessionem inter cognatos patris nostri.
4 Retulitque Moyses causam earum ad judicium Domini.
5 Qui dixit ad eum:
6 Justam rem postulant fili Salphaad: da eis possessionem inter cognatos patris sui, et ei in hreditatem succedant.
7 Ad filios autem Isral loqueris hc:
8 Homo cum mortuus fuerit absque filio, ad filiam ejus transibit hreditas.
9 Si filiam non habuerit, habebit successores fratres suos.
10 Quod si et fratres non fuerint, dabitis hreditatem fratribus patris ejus.
11 Sin autem nec patruos habuerit, dabitur hreditas his qui ei proximi sunt. Eritque hoc filiis Isral sanctum lege perpetua, sicut prcepit Dominus Moysi.
12 Dixit quoque Dominus ad Moysen: Ascende in montem istum Abarim, et contemplare inde terram, quam daturus sum filiis Isral.
13 Cumque videris eam, ibis et tu ad populum tuum, sicut ivit frater tuus Aaron:
14 quia offendistis me in deserto Sin in contradictione multitudinis, nec sanctificare me voluistis coram ea super aquas. H sunt aqu contradictionis in Cades deserti Sin.
15 Cui respondit Moyses:
16 Provideat Dominus Deus spirituum omnis carnis hominem, qui sit super multitudinem hanc:
17 et possit exire et intrare ante eos, et educere eos vel introducere: ne sit populus Domini sicut oves absque pastore.
18 Dixitque Dominus ad eum: Tolle Josue filium Nun, virum in quo est spiritus, et pone manum tuam super eum.
19 Qui stabit coram Eleazaro sacerdote et omni multitudine:
20 et dabis ei prcepta cunctis videntibus, et partem glori tu, ut audiat eum omnis synagoga filiorum Isral.
21 Pro hoc, si quid agendum erit, Eleazar sacerdos consulet Dominum. Ad verbum ejus egredietur et ingredietur ipse, et omnes filii Isral cum eo, et cetera multitudo.
22 Fecit Moyses ut prceperat Dominus: cumque tulisset Josue, statuit eum coram Eleazaro sacerdote et omni frequentia populi.
23 Et impositis capiti ejus manibus, cuncta replicavit qu mandaverat Dominus.
