2 And he said,559 The LORD3068 is my rock,5553 and my fortress,4686 and my deliverer;6403
3 The God430 of my rock;6697 in him will I trust:2620 he is my shield,4043 and the horn7161 of my salvation,3468 my high tower,4869 and my refuge,4498 my savior;3467 thou savest3467 me from violence.4480 2555
4 I will call on7121 the Lord,3068 who is worthy to be praised:1984 so shall I be saved3467 from mine enemies.4480 341
5 When3588 the waves4867 of death4194 compassed661 me, the floods5158 of ungodly1100 men made me afraid;1204
6 The sorrows2256 of hell7585 compassed me about;5437 the snares4170 of death4194 prevented6923 me;
7 In my distress6862 I called upon7121 the Lord,3068 and cried7121 to413 my God:430 and he did hear8085 my voice6963 out of his temple,4480 1964 and my cry7775 did enter into his ears.241
8 Then the earth776 shook1607 and trembled;7493 the foundations4146 of heaven8064 moved7264 and shook,1607 because3588 he was wroth.2734

15 And he sent out7971 arrows,2671 and scattered6327 them; lightning,1300 and discomfited2000 them.
16 And the channels650 of the sea3220 appeared,7200 the foundations4146 of the world8398 were discovered,1540 at the rebuking1606 of the Lord,3068 at the blast4480 5397 of the breath7307 of his nostrils.639
17 He sent7971 from above,4480 4791 he took3947 me; he drew4871 me out of many waters;4480 4325 7227
18 He delivered5337 me from my strong enemy,4480 341 5794 and from them that hated4480 8130 me: for3588 they were too strong553 for4480 me.
19 They prevented6923 me in the day3117 of my calamity:343 but the LORD3068 was1961 my stay.4937
20 He brought me forth3318 also into a large place:4800 853 he delivered2502 me, because3588 he delighted2654 in me.
21 The LORD3068 rewarded1580 me according to my righteousness:6666 according to the cleanness1252 of my hands3027 hath he recompensed7725 me.
22 For3588 I have kept8104 the ways1870 of the Lord,3068 and have not3808 wickedly7561 departed from my God.4480 430
23 For3588 all3605 his judgments4941 were before5048 me: and as for his statutes,2708 I did not3808 depart5493 from4480 them.
24 I was1961 also upright8549 before him and have kept myself8104 from mine iniquity.4480 5771
25 Therefore the LORD3068 hath recompensed7725 me according to my righteousness;6666 according to my cleanness1252 in5048 his eye sight.5869
26 With5973 the merciful2623 thou wilt show thyself merciful,2616 and with5973 the upright8549 man1368 thou wilt show thyself upright.8552
27 With5973 the pure2889 thou wilt show thyself pure;1305 and with5973 the froward6141 thou wilt show thyself unsavory.6617
28 And the afflicted6041 people5971 thou wilt save:3467 but thine eyes5869 are upon5921 the haughty,7311 that thou mayest bring them down.8213
29 For3588 thou859 art my lamp,5216 O Lord:3068 and the LORD3068 will lighten5050 my darkness.2822
30 For3588 by thee I have run7323 through a troop:1416 by my God430 have I leaped1801 over a wall.7791
31 As for God,410 his way1870 is perfect;8549 the word565 of the LORD3068 is tried:6884 he1931 is a buckler4043 to all3605 them that trust2620 in him.
32 For3588 who4310 is God,410 save4480 1107 the Lord?3068 and who4310 is a rock,6697 save4480 1107 our God?430
33 God410 is my strength4581 and power:2428 and he maketh5425 my way1870 perfect.8549
34 He maketh7737 my feet7272 like hinds'355 feet: and setteth5975 me upon5921 my high places.1116
35 He teacheth3925 my hands3027 to war;4421 so that a bow7198 of steel5154 is broken5181 by mine arms.2220
36 Thou hast also given5414 me the shield4043 of thy salvation:3468 and thy gentleness6038 hath made me great.7235

40 For thou hast girded247 me with strength2428 to battle:4421 them that rose up6965 against me hast thou subdued3766 under8478 me.
41 Thou hast also given5414 me the necks6203 of mine enemies,341 that I might destroy6789 them that hate8130 me.
42 They looked,8159 but there was none369 to save;3467 even unto413 the Lord,3068 but he answered6030 them not.3808
43 Then did I beat7833 them as small as the dust6083 of the earth,776 I did stamp1854 them as the mire2916 of the street,2351 and did spread them abroad.7554
44 Thou also hast delivered6403 me from the strivings4480 7379 of my people,5971 thou hast kept8104 me to be head7218 of the heathen:1471 a people5971 which I knew3045 not3808 shall serve5647 me.
45 Strangers1121 5236 shall submit themselves3584 unto me: as soon as they hear,8085 241 they shall be obedient8085 unto me.
46 Strangers1121 5236 shall fade away,5034 and they shall be afraid2296 out of their close places.4480 4526
47 The LORD3068 liveth;2416 and blessed1288 be my rock;6697 and exalted7311 be the God430 of the rock6697 of my salvation.3468
48 It is God410 that avengeth5414 5360 me, and that bringeth down8213 the people5971 under8478 me,

1 καὶ ἐλάλησεν Δαυιδ τῷ κυρίῳ τοὺς λόγους τῆς ᾠδῆς ταύτης ἐν ᾗ ἡμέρᾳ ἐξείλατο αὐτὸν κύριος ἐκ χειρὸς πάντων τῶν ἐχθρῶν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐκ χειρὸς Σαουλ
2 καὶ εἶπεν κύριε πέτρα μου καὶ ὀχύρωμά μου καὶ ἐξαιρούμενός με ἐμοί
3 ὁ θεός μου φύλαξ ἔσται μου πεποιθὼς ἔσομαι ἐπ᾽ αὐτῷ ὑπερασπιστής μου καὶ κέρας σωτηρίας μου ἀντιλήμπτωρ μου καὶ καταφυγή μου σωτηρίας μου ἐξ ἀδίκου σώσεις με
4 αἰνετὸν ἐπικαλέσομαι κύριον καὶ ἐκ τῶν ἐχθρῶν μου σωθήσομαι
5 ὅτι περιέσχον με συντριμμοὶ θανάτου χείμαρροι ἀνομίας ἐθάμβησάν με
6 ὠδῖνες θανάτου ἐκύκλωσάν με προέφθασάν με σκληρότητες θανάτου
7 ἐν τῷ θλίβεσθαί με ἐπικαλέσομαι κύριον καὶ πρὸς τὸν θεόν μου βοήσομαι καὶ ἐπακούσεται ἐκ ναοῦ αὐτοῦ φωνῆς μου καὶ ἡ κραυγή μου ἐν τοῖς ὠσὶν αὐτοῦ
8 καὶ ἐταράχθη καὶ ἐσείσθη ἡ γῆ καὶ τὰ θεμέλια τοῦ οὐρανοῦ συνεταράχθησαν καὶ ἐσπαράχθησαν ὅτι ἐθυμώθη κύριος αὐτοῖς
9 ἀνέβη καπνὸς ἐν τῇ ὀργῇ αὐτοῦ καὶ πῦρ ἐκ στόματος αὐτοῦ κατέδεται ἄνθρακες ἐξεκαύθησαν ἀπ᾽ αὐτοῦ
10 καὶ ἔκλινεν οὐρανοὺς καὶ κατέβη καὶ γνόφος ὑποκάτω τῶν ποδῶν αὐτοῦ
11 καὶ ἐπεκάθισεν ἐπὶ Χερουβιν καὶ ἐπετάσθη καὶ ὤφθη ἐπὶ πτερύγων ἀνέμου
12 καὶ ἔθετο σκότος ἀποκρυφὴν αὐτοῦ κύκλῳ αὐτοῦ ἡ σκηνὴ αὐτοῦ σκότος ὑδάτων ἐπάχυνεν ἐν νεφέλαις ἀέρος
13 ἀπὸ τοῦ φέγγους ἐναντίον αὐτοῦ ἐξεκαύθησαν ἄνθρακες πυρός
14 ἐβρόντησεν ἐξ οὐρανοῦ κύριος καὶ ὁ ὕψιστος ἔδωκεν φωνὴν αὐτοῦ
15 καὶ ἀπέστειλεν βέλη καὶ ἐσκόρπισεν αὐτούς ἀστραπὴν καὶ ἐξέστησεν αὐτούς
16 καὶ ὤφθησαν ἀφέσεις θαλάσσης καὶ ἀπεκαλύφθη θεμέλια τῆς οἰκουμένης ἐν τῇ ἐπιτιμήσει κυρίου ἀπὸ πνοῆς πνεύματος θυμοῦ αὐτοῦ
17 ἀπέστειλεν ἐξ ὕψους καὶ ἔλαβέν με εἵλκυσέν με ἐξ ὑδάτων πολλῶν
18 ἐρρύσατό με ἐξ ἐχθρῶν μου ἰσχύος ἐκ τῶν μισούντων με ὅτι ἐκραταιώθησαν ὑπὲρ ἐμέ
19 προέφθασάν με ἐν ἡμέρᾳ θλίψεώς μου καὶ ἐγένετο κύριος ἐπιστήριγμά μου
20 καὶ ἐξήγαγέν με εἰς πλατυσμὸν καὶ ἐξείλατό με ὅτι εὐδόκησεν ἐν ἐμοί
21 καὶ ἀνταπέδωκέν μοι κύριος κατὰ τὴν δικαιοσύνην μου κατὰ τὴν καθαριότητα τῶν χειρῶν μου ἀνταπέδωκέν μοι
22 ὅτι ἐφύλαξα ὁδοὺς κυρίου καὶ οὐκ ἠσέβησα ἀπὸ τοῦ θεοῦ μου
23 ὅτι πάντα τὰ κρίματα αὐτοῦ κατεναντίον μου καὶ τὰ δικαιώματα αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἀπέστην ἀπ᾽ αὐτῶν
24 καὶ ἔσομαι ἄμωμος αὐτῷ καὶ προφυλάξομαι ἀπὸ τῆς ἀνομίας μου
25 καὶ ἀποδώσει μοι κύριος κατὰ τὴν δικαιοσύνην μου καὶ κατὰ τὴν καθαριότητα τῶν χειρῶν μου ἐνώπιον τῶν ὀφθαλμῶν αὐτοῦ
26 μετὰ ὁσίου ὁσιωθήσῃ καὶ μετὰ ἀνδρὸς τελείου τελειωθήσῃ
27 καὶ μετὰ ἐκλεκτοῦ ἐκλεκτὸς ἔσῃ καὶ μετὰ στρεβλοῦ στρεβλωθήσῃ
28 καὶ τὸν λαὸν τὸν πτωχὸν σώσεις καὶ ὀφθαλμοὺς ἐπὶ μετεώρων ταπεινώσεις
29 ὅτι σὺ ὁ λύχνος μου κύριε καὶ κύριος ἐκλάμψει μοι τὸ σκότος μου
30 ὅτι ἐν σοὶ δραμοῦμαι μονόζωνος καὶ ἐν τῷ θεῷ μου ὑπερβήσομαι τεῖχος
31 ὁ ἰσχυρός ἄμωμος ἡ ὁδὸς αὐτοῦ τὸ ῥῆμα κυρίου κραταιόν πεπυρωμένον ὑπερασπιστής ἐστιν πᾶσιν τοῖς πεποιθόσιν ἐπ᾽ αὐτῷ
32 τίς ἰσχυρὸς πλὴν κυρίου καὶ τίς κτίστης ἔσται πλὴν τοῦ θεοῦ ἡμῶν
33 ὁ ἰσχυρὸς ὁ κραταιῶν με δυνάμει καὶ ἐξετίναξεν ἄμωμον τὴν ὁδόν μου
34 τιθεὶς τοὺς πόδας μου ὡς ἐλάφων καὶ ἐπὶ τὰ ὕψη ἱστῶν με
35 διδάσκων χεῖράς μου εἰς πόλεμον καὶ κατάξας τόξον χαλκοῦν ἐν βραχίονί μου
36 καὶ ἔδωκάς μοι ὑπερασπισμὸν σωτηρίας μου καὶ ἡ ὑπακοή σου ἐπλήθυνέν με
37 εἰς πλατυσμὸν εἰς τὰ διαβήματά μου ὑποκάτω μου καὶ οὐκ ἐσαλεύθησαν τὰ σκέλη μου
38 διώξω ἐχθρούς μου καὶ ἀφανιῶ αὐτοὺς καὶ οὐκ ἀναστρέψω ἕως συντελέσω αὐτούς
39 καὶ θλάσω αὐτούς καὶ οὐκ ἀναστήσονται καὶ πεσοῦνται ὑπὸ τοὺς πόδας μου
40 καὶ ἐνισχύσεις με δυνάμει εἰς πόλεμον κάμψεις τοὺς ἐπανιστανομένους μοι ὑποκάτω μου
41 καὶ τοὺς ἐχθρούς μου ἔδωκάς μοι νῶτον τοὺς μισοῦντάς με καὶ ἐθανάτωσας αὐτούς
42 βοήσονται καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν βοηθός πρὸς κύριον καὶ οὐχ ὑπήκουσεν αὐτῶν
43 καὶ ἐλέανα αὐτοὺς ὡς χοῦν γῆς ὡς πηλὸν ἐξόδων ἐλέπτυνα αὐτούς
44 καὶ ῥύσῃ με ἐκ μάχης λαῶν φυλάξεις με εἰς κεφαλὴν ἐθνῶν λαός ὃν οὐκ ἔγνων ἐδούλευσάν μοι
45 υἱοὶ ἀλλότριοι ἐψεύσαντό μοι εἰς ἀκοὴν ὠτίου ἤκουσάν μου
46 υἱοὶ ἀλλότριοι ἀπορριφήσονται καὶ σφαλοῦσιν ἐκ τῶν συγκλεισμῶν αὐτῶν
47 ζῇ κύριος καὶ εὐλογητὸς ὁ φύλαξ μου καὶ ὑψωθήσεται ὁ θεός μου ὁ φύλαξ τῆς σωτηρίας μου
48 ἰσχυρὸς κύριος ὁ διδοὺς ἐκδικήσεις ἐμοί παιδεύων λαοὺς ὑποκάτω μου
49 καὶ ἐξάγων με ἐξ ἐχθρῶν μου καὶ ἐκ τῶν ἐπεγειρομένων μοι ὑψώσεις με ἐξ ἀνδρὸς ἀδικημάτων ῥύσῃ με
50 διὰ τοῦτο ἐξομολογήσομαί σοι κύριε ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν καὶ ἐν τῷ ὀνόματί σου ψαλῶ

1 וַיְדַבֵּ֤ר דָּוִד֙ לַֽיהוָ֔ה אֶת־דִּבְרֵ֖י הַשִּׁירָ֣ה הַזֹּ֑את בְּיוֹם֩ הִצִּ֨יל יְהוָ֥ה אֹת֛וֹ מִכַּ֥ף כָּל־אֹיְבָ֖יו וּמִכַּ֥ף שָׁאֽוּל׃
2 וַיֹּאמַ֑ר יְהוָ֛ה סַֽלְעִ֥י וּמְצֻדָתִ֖י וּמְפַלְטִי־לִֽי׃
3 אֱלֹהֵ֥י צוּרִ֖י אֶחֱסֶה־בּ֑וֹ מָגִנִּ֞י וְקֶ֣רֶן יִשְׁעִ֗י מִשְׂגַּבִּי֙ וּמְנוּסִ֔י מֹשִׁעִ֕י מֵחָמָ֖ס תֹּשִׁעֵֽנִי׃
4 מְהֻלָּ֖ל אֶקְרָ֣א יְהוָ֑ה וּמֵאֹיְבַ֖י אִוָּשֵֽׁעַ׃
5 כִּ֥י אֲפָפֻ֖נִי מִשְׁבְּרֵי־מָ֑וֶת נַחֲלֵ֥י בְלִיַּ֖עַל יְבַעֲתֻֽנִי׃
6 חֶבְלֵ֥י שְׁא֖וֹל סַבֻּ֑נִי קִדְּמֻ֖נִי מֹֽקְשֵׁי־מָֽוֶת׃
7 בַּצַּר־לִי֙ אֶקְרָ֣א יְהוָ֔ה וְאֶל־אֱלֹהַ֖י אֶקְרָ֑א וַיִּשְׁמַ֤ע מֵהֵֽיכָלוֹ֙ קוֹלִ֔י וְשַׁוְעָתִ֖י בְּאָזְנָֽיו׃
8 ותגעש וַיִּתְגָּעַ֤שa וַתִּרְעַשׁ֙ הָאָ֔רֶץ מוֹסְד֥וֹת הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם יִרְגָּ֑זוּ וַיִּֽתְגָּעֲשׁ֖וּ כִּֽי־חָ֥רָה לֽוֹ׃
9 עָלָ֤ה עָשָׁן֙ בְּאַפּ֔וֹ וְאֵ֥שׁ מִפִּ֖יו תֹּאכֵ֑ל גֶּחָלִ֖ים בָּעֲר֥וּ מִמֶּֽנּוּ׃
10 וַיֵּ֥ט שָׁמַ֖יִם וַיֵּרַ֑ד וַעֲרָפֶ֖ל תַּ֥חַת רַגְלָֽיו׃
11 וַיִּרְכַּ֥ב עַל־כְּר֖וּב וַיָּעֹ֑ף וַיֵּרָ֖א עַל־כַּנְפֵי־רֽוּחַ׃
12 וַיָּ֥שֶׁת חֹ֛שֶׁךְ סְבִיבֹתָ֖יו סֻכּ֑וֹת חַֽשְׁרַת־מַ֖יִם עָבֵ֥י שְׁחָקִֽים׃
13 מִנֹּ֖גַהּ נֶגְדּ֑וֹ בָּעֲר֖וּ גַּחֲלֵי־אֵֽשׁ׃
14 יַרְעֵ֥ם מִן־שָׁמַ֖יִם יְהוָ֑ה וְעֶלְי֖וֹן יִתֵּ֥ן קוֹלֽוֹ׃
15 וַיִּשְׁלַ֥ח חִצִּ֖ים וַיְפִיצֵ֑ם בָּרָ֖ק ויהמם וַיָּהֹֽם׃
16 וַיֵּֽרָאוּ֙ אֲפִ֣קֵי יָ֔ם יִגָּל֖וּ מֹסְד֣וֹת תֵּבֵ֑ל בְּגַעֲרַ֣ת יְהוָ֔ה מִנִּשְׁמַ֖ת ר֥וּחַ אַפּֽוֹ׃
17 יִשְׁלַ֥ח מִמָּר֖וֹם יִקָּחֵ֑נִי יַֽמְשֵׁ֖נִי מִמַּ֥יִם רַבִּֽים׃
18 יַצִּילֵ֕נִי מֵאֹיְבִ֖י עָ֑ז מִשֹּׂ֣נְאַ֔י כִּ֥י אָמְצ֖וּ מִמֶּֽנִּי׃
19 יְקַדְּמֻ֖נִי בְּי֣וֹם אֵידִ֑י וַיְהִ֧י יְהוָ֛ה מִשְׁעָ֖ן לִֽי׃
20 וַיֹּצֵ֥א לַמֶּרְחָ֖ב אֹתִ֑י יְחַלְּצֵ֖נִי כִּי־חָ֥פֵֽץ בִּֽי׃
21 יִגְמְלֵ֥נִי יְהוָ֖ה כְּצִדְקָתִ֑י כְּבֹ֥ר יָדַ֖י יָשִׁ֥יב לִֽי׃
22 כִּ֥י שָׁמַ֖רְתִּי דַּרְכֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה וְלֹ֥א רָשַׁ֖עְתִּי מֵאֱלֹהָֽי׃
23 כִּ֥י כָל־משפטו מִשְׁפָּטָ֖יו לְנֶגְדִּ֑י וְחֻקֹּתָ֖יו לֹא־אָס֥וּר מִמֶּֽנָּה׃
24 וָאֶהְיֶ֥ה תָמִ֖ים ל֑וֹ וָאֶשְׁתַּמְּרָ֖ה מֵעֲוֹנִֽי׃
25 וַיָּ֧שֶׁב יְהוָ֛ה לִ֖י כְּצִדְקָתִ֑י כְּבֹרִ֖י לְנֶ֥גֶד עֵינָֽיו׃
26 עִם־חָסִ֖יד תִּתְחַסָּ֑ד עִם־גִּבּ֥וֹר תָּמִ֖ים תִּתַּמָּֽם׃
27 עִם־נָבָ֖ר תִּתָּבָ֑ר וְעִם־עִקֵּ֖שׁ תִּתַּפָּֽל׃
28 וְאֶת־עַ֥ם עָנִ֖י תּוֹשִׁ֑יעַ וְעֵינֶ֖יךָ עַל־רָמִ֥ים תַּשְׁפִּֽיל׃
29 כִּֽי־אַתָּ֥ה נֵירִ֖י יְהוָ֑ה וַיהוָ֖ה יַגִּ֥יהַּ חָשְׁכִּֽי׃
30 כִּ֥י בְכָ֖ה אָר֣וּץ גְּד֑וּד בֵּאלֹהַ֖י אֲדַלֶּג־שֽׁוּר׃
31 הָאֵ֖ל תָּמִ֣ים דַּרְכּ֑וֹ אִמְרַ֤ת יְהוָה֙ צְרוּפָ֔ה מָגֵ֣ן ה֔וּא לְכֹ֖ל הַחֹסִ֥ים בּֽוֹ׃
32 כִּ֥י מִי־אֵ֖ל מִבַּלְעֲדֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה וּמִ֥י צ֖וּר מִֽבַּלְעֲדֵ֥י אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃
33 הָאֵ֥ל מָעוּזִּ֖י חָ֑יִל וַיַּתֵּ֥ר תָּמִ֖ים דרכו דַּרְכִּֽי׃
34 מְשַׁוֶּ֥ה רגליו רַגְלַ֖י כָּאַיָּל֑וֹת וְעַ֥ל בָּמוֹתַ֖י יַעֲמִדֵֽנִי׃
35 מְלַמֵּ֥ד יָדַ֖י לַמִּלְחָמָ֑ה וְנִחַ֥ת קֶֽשֶׁת־נְחוּשָׁ֖ה זְרֹעֹתָֽי׃
36 וַתִּתֶּן־לִ֖י מָגֵ֣ן יִשְׁעֶ֑ךָ וַעֲנֹתְךָ֖ תַּרְבֵּֽנִי׃

1 Locutus est autem David Domino verba carminis hujus in die qua liberavit eum Dominus de manu omnium inimicorum suorum, et de manu Saul.
2 Et ait: [Dominus petra mea, et robur meum, et salvator meus.
3 Deus fortis meus: sperabo in eum;
scutum meum, et cornu salutis me:
elevator meus, et refugium meum;
salvator meus: de iniquitate liberabis me.
4 Laudabilem invocabo Dominum,
et ab inimicis meis salvus ero.
5 Quia circumdederunt me contritiones mortis:
torrentes Belial terruerunt me.
6 Funes inferni circumdederunt me:
prvenerunt me laquei mortis.
7 In tribulatione mea invocabo Dominum,
et ad Deum meum clamabo:
et exaudiet de templo suo vocem meam,
et clamor meus veniet ad aures ejus.
8 Commota est et contremuit terra;
fundamenta montium concussa sunt, et conquassata:
quoniam iratus est eis.

17 Misit de excelso, et assumpsit me,
et extraxit me de aquis multis.
18 Liberavit me ab inimico meo potentissimo,

1 וַיְדַבֵּ֤ר דָּוִד֙ לַֽיהוָ֔ה אֶת־דִּבְרֵ֖י הַשִּׁירָ֣ה הַזֹּ֑את בְּיוֹם֩ הִצִּ֨יל יְהוָ֥ה אֹת֛וֹ מִכַּ֥ף כָּל־אֹיְבָ֖יו וּמִכַּ֥ף שָׁאֽוּל׃
2 וַיֹּאמַ֑ר יְהוָ֛ה סַֽלְעִ֥י וּמְצֻדָתִ֖י וּמְפַלְטִי־לִֽי׃
3 אֱלֹהֵ֥י צוּרִ֖י אֶחֱסֶה־בּ֑וֹ מָגִנִּ֞י וְקֶ֣רֶן יִשְׁעִ֗י מִשְׂגַּבִּי֙ וּמְנוּסִ֔י מֹשִׁעִ֕י מֵחָמָ֖ס תֹּשִׁעֵֽנִי׃
4 מְהֻלָּ֖ל אֶקְרָ֣א יְהוָ֑ה וּמֵאֹיְבַ֖י אִוָּשֵֽׁעַ׃
5 כִּ֥י אֲפָפֻ֖נִי מִשְׁבְּרֵי־מָ֑וֶת נַחֲלֵ֥י בְלִיַּ֖עַל יְבַעֲתֻֽנִי׃
6 חֶבְלֵ֥י שְׁא֖וֹל סַבֻּ֑נִי קִדְּמֻ֖נִי מֹֽקְשֵׁי־מָֽוֶת׃
7 בַּצַּר־לִי֙ אֶקְרָ֣א יְהוָ֔ה וְאֶל־אֱלֹהַ֖י אֶקְרָ֑א וַיִּשְׁמַ֤ע מֵהֵֽיכָלוֹ֙ קוֹלִ֔י וְשַׁוְעָתִ֖י בְּאָזְנָֽיו׃
8 ותגעש וַיִּתְגָּעַ֤שa וַתִּרְעַשׁ֙ הָאָ֔רֶץ מוֹסְד֥וֹת הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם יִרְגָּ֑זוּ וַיִּֽתְגָּעֲשׁ֖וּ כִּֽי־חָ֥רָה לֽוֹ׃
9 עָלָ֤ה עָשָׁן֙ בְּאַפּ֔וֹ וְאֵ֥שׁ מִפִּ֖יו תֹּאכֵ֑ל גֶּחָלִ֖ים בָּעֲר֥וּ מִמֶּֽנּוּ׃
10 וַיֵּ֥ט שָׁמַ֖יִם וַיֵּרַ֑ד וַעֲרָפֶ֖ל תַּ֥חַת רַגְלָֽיו׃
11 וַיִּרְכַּ֥ב עַל־כְּר֖וּב וַיָּעֹ֑ף וַיֵּרָ֖א עַל־כַּנְפֵי־רֽוּחַ׃
12 וַיָּ֥שֶׁת חֹ֛שֶׁךְ סְבִיבֹתָ֖יו סֻכּ֑וֹת חַֽשְׁרַת־מַ֖יִם עָבֵ֥י שְׁחָקִֽים׃
13 מִנֹּ֖גַהּ נֶגְדּ֑וֹ בָּעֲר֖וּ גַּחֲלֵי־אֵֽשׁ׃
14 יַרְעֵ֥ם מִן־שָׁמַ֖יִם יְהוָ֑ה וְעֶלְי֖וֹן יִתֵּ֥ן קוֹלֽוֹ׃
15 וַיִּשְׁלַ֥ח חִצִּ֖ים וַיְפִיצֵ֑ם בָּרָ֖ק ויהמם וַיָּהֹֽם׃
16 וַיֵּֽרָאוּ֙ אֲפִ֣קֵי יָ֔ם יִגָּל֖וּ מֹסְד֣וֹת תֵּבֵ֑ל בְּגַעֲרַ֣ת יְהוָ֔ה מִנִּשְׁמַ֖ת ר֥וּחַ אַפּֽוֹ׃
17 יִשְׁלַ֥ח מִמָּר֖וֹם יִקָּחֵ֑נִי יַֽמְשֵׁ֖נִי מִמַּ֥יִם רַבִּֽים׃
18 יַצִּילֵ֕נִי מֵאֹיְבִ֖י עָ֑ז מִשֹּׂ֣נְאַ֔י כִּ֥י אָמְצ֖וּ מִמֶּֽנִּי׃
19 יְקַדְּמֻ֖נִי בְּי֣וֹם אֵידִ֑י וַיְהִ֧י יְהוָ֛ה מִשְׁעָ֖ן לִֽי׃
20 וַיֹּצֵ֥א לַמֶּרְחָ֖ב אֹתִ֑י יְחַלְּצֵ֖נִי כִּי־חָ֥פֵֽץ בִּֽי׃
21 יִגְמְלֵ֥נִי יְהוָ֖ה כְּצִדְקָתִ֑י כְּבֹ֥ר יָדַ֖י יָשִׁ֥יב לִֽי׃
22 כִּ֥י שָׁמַ֖רְתִּי דַּרְכֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה וְלֹ֥א רָשַׁ֖עְתִּי מֵאֱלֹהָֽי׃
23 כִּ֥י כָל־משפטו מִשְׁפָּטָ֖יו לְנֶגְדִּ֑י וְחֻקֹּתָ֖יו לֹא־אָס֥וּר מִמֶּֽנָּה׃
24 וָאֶהְיֶ֥ה תָמִ֖ים ל֑וֹ וָאֶשְׁתַּמְּרָ֖ה מֵעֲוֹנִֽי׃
25 וַיָּ֧שֶׁב יְהוָ֛ה לִ֖י כְּצִדְקָתִ֑י כְּבֹרִ֖י לְנֶ֥גֶד עֵינָֽיו׃
26 עִם־חָסִ֖יד תִּתְחַסָּ֑ד עִם־גִּבּ֥וֹר תָּמִ֖ים תִּתַּמָּֽם׃
27 עִם־נָבָ֖ר תִּתָּבָ֑ר וְעִם־עִקֵּ֖שׁ תִּתַּפָּֽל׃
28 וְאֶת־עַ֥ם עָנִ֖י תּוֹשִׁ֑יעַ וְעֵינֶ֖יךָ עַל־רָמִ֥ים תַּשְׁפִּֽיל׃
29 כִּֽי־אַתָּ֥ה נֵירִ֖י יְהוָ֑ה וַיהוָ֖ה יַגִּ֥יהַּ חָשְׁכִּֽי׃
30 כִּ֥י בְכָ֖ה אָר֣וּץ גְּד֑וּד בֵּאלֹהַ֖י אֲדַלֶּג־שֽׁוּר׃
31 הָאֵ֖ל תָּמִ֣ים דַּרְכּ֑וֹ אִמְרַ֤ת יְהוָה֙ צְרוּפָ֔ה מָגֵ֣ן ה֔וּא לְכֹ֖ל הַחֹסִ֥ים בּֽוֹ׃
32 כִּ֥י מִי־אֵ֖ל מִבַּלְעֲדֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה וּמִ֥י צ֖וּר מִֽבַּלְעֲדֵ֥י אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃
33 הָאֵ֥ל מָעוּזִּ֖י חָ֑יִל וַיַּתֵּ֥ר תָּמִ֖ים דרכו דַּרְכִּֽי׃
34 מְשַׁוֶּ֥ה רגליו רַגְלַ֖י כָּאַיָּל֑וֹת וְעַ֥ל בָּמוֹתַ֖י יַעֲמִדֵֽנִי׃
35 מְלַמֵּ֥ד יָדַ֖י לַמִּלְחָמָ֑ה וְנִחַ֥ת קֶֽשֶׁת־נְחוּשָׁ֖ה זְרֹעֹתָֽי׃
36 וַתִּתֶּן־לִ֖י מָגֵ֣ן יִשְׁעֶ֑ךָ וַעֲנֹתְךָ֖ תַּרְבֵּֽנִי׃
37 תַּרְחִ֥יב צַעֲדִ֖י תַּחְתֵּ֑נִי וְלֹ֥א מָעֲד֖וּ קַרְסֻלָּֽי׃
38 אֶרְדְּפָ֥ה אֹיְבַ֖י וָאַשְׁמִידֵ֑ם וְלֹ֥א אָשׁ֖וּב עַד־כַּלּוֹתָֽם׃
39 וָאֲכַלֵּ֥ם וָאֶמְחָצֵ֖ם וְלֹ֣א יְקוּמ֑וּן וַֽיִּפְּל֖וּ תַּ֥חַת רַגְלָֽי׃
40 וַתַּזְרֵ֥נִי חַ֖יִל לַמִּלְחָמָ֑ה תַּכְרִ֥יעַ קָמַ֖י תַּחְתֵּֽנִי׃
41 וְאֹ֣יְבַ֔י תַּ֥תָּה לִּ֖י עֹ֑רֶף מְשַׂנְאַ֖י וָאַצְמִיתֵֽם׃
42 יִשְׁע֖וּ וְאֵ֣ין מֹשִׁ֑יעַ אֶל־יְהוָ֖ה וְלֹ֥א עָנָֽם׃
43 וְאֶשְׁחָקֵ֖ם כַּעֲפַר־אָ֑רֶץ כְּטִיט־חוּצ֥וֹת אֲדִקֵּ֖ם אֶרְקָעֵֽם׃
44 וַֽתְּפַלְּטֵ֔נִי מֵרִיבֵ֖י עַמִּ֑י תִּשְׁמְרֵ֙נִי֙ לְרֹ֣אשׁ גּוֹיִ֔ם עַ֥ם לֹא־יָדַ֖עְתִּי יַעַבְדֻֽנִי׃
45 בְּנֵ֥י נֵכָ֖ר יִתְכַּֽחֲשׁוּ־לִ֑י לִשְׁמ֥וֹעַ אֹ֖זֶן יִשָּׁ֥מְעוּ לִֽי׃
46 בְּנֵ֥י נֵכָ֖ר יִבֹּ֑לוּ וְיַחְגְּר֖וּ מִמִּסְגְּרוֹתָֽם׃
47 חַי־יְהוָ֖ה וּבָר֣וּךְ צוּרִ֑י וְיָרֻ֕ם אֱלֹהֵ֖י צ֥וּר יִשְׁעִֽי׃
48 הָאֵ֕ל הַנֹּתֵ֥ן נְקָמֹ֖ת לִ֑י וּמוֹרִ֥יד עַמִּ֖ים תַּחְתֵּֽנִי׃
49 וּמוֹצִיאִ֖י מֵאֹֽיְבָ֑י וּמִקָּמַי֙ תְּר֣וֹמְמֵ֔נִי מֵאִ֥ישׁ חֲמָסִ֖ים תַּצִּילֵֽנִי׃
50 עַל־כֵּ֛ן אוֹדְךָ֥ יְהוָ֖ה בַּגּוֹיִ֑ם וּלְשִׁמְךָ֖ אֲזַמֵּֽר׃
51 מגדיל מִגְדּ֖וֹל יְשׁוּע֣וֹת מַלְכּ֑וֹ וְעֹֽשֶׂה־חֶ֧סֶד לִמְשִׁיח֛וֹ לְדָוִ֥ד וּלְזַרְע֖וֹ עַד־עוֹלָֽם׃ 3פ

1 Locutus est autem David Domino verba carminis hujus in die qua liberavit eum Dominus de manu omnium inimicorum suorum, et de manu Saul.
2 Et ait: [Dominus petra mea, et robur meum, et salvator meus.
3 Deus fortis meus: sperabo in eum;
scutum meum, et cornu salutis me:
elevator meus, et refugium meum;
salvator meus: de iniquitate liberabis me.
4 Laudabilem invocabo Dominum,
et ab inimicis meis salvus ero.
5 Quia circumdederunt me contritiones mortis:
torrentes Belial terruerunt me.
6 Funes inferni circumdederunt me:
prvenerunt me laquei mortis.
7 In tribulatione mea invocabo Dominum,
et ad Deum meum clamabo:
et exaudiet de templo suo vocem meam,
et clamor meus veniet ad aures ejus.
8 Commota est et contremuit terra;
fundamenta montium concussa sunt, et conquassata:
quoniam iratus est eis.
9 Ascendit fumus de naribus ejus,
et ignis de ore ejus vorabit:
carbones succensi sunt ab eo.
10 Inclinavit clos, et descendit:
et caligo sub pedibus ejus.
11 Et ascendit super cherubim, et volavit:
et lapsus est super pennas venti.
12 Posuit tenebras in circuitu suo latibulum,
cribrans aquas de nubibus clorum.
13 Pr fulgore in conspectu ejus,
succensi sunt carbones ignis.
14 Tonabit de clo Dominus,
et excelsus dabit vocem suam.
15 Misit sagittas et dissipavit eos;
fulgur, et consumpsit eos.
16 Et apparuerunt effusiones maris,
et revelata sunt fundamenta orbis
ab increpatione Domini,
ab inspiratione spiritus furoris ejus.
17 Misit de excelso, et assumpsit me,
et extraxit me de aquis multis.
18 Liberavit me ab inimico meo potentissimo,
et ab his qui oderant me:
quoniam robustiores me erant.
19 Prvenit me in die afflictionis me,
et factus est Dominus firmamentum meum.
20 Et eduxit me in latitudinem:
liberavit me, quia complacui ei.
21 Retribuet mihi Dominus secundum justitiam meam:
et secundum munditiam manuum mearum reddet mihi.
22 Quia custodivi vias Domini,
et non egi impie a Deo meo.
23 Omnia enim judicia ejus in conspectu meo,
et prcepta ejus non amovi a me.
24 Et ero perfectus cum eo,
et custodiam me ab iniquitate mea.
25 Et restituet mihi Dominus secundum justitiam meam,
et secundum munditiam manuum mearum in conspectu oculorum suorum.
26 Cum sancto sanctus eris,
et cum robusto perfectus.
27 Cum electo electus eris,
et cum perverso perverteris.
28 Et populum pauperem salvum facies:
oculisque tuis excelsos humiliabis.
29 Quia tu lucerna mea, Domine,
et tu, Domine, illuminabis tenebras meas.
30 In te enim curram accinctus:
in Deo meo transiliam murum.
31 Deus, immaculata via ejus;
eloquium Domini igne examinatum:
scutum est omnium sperantium in se.
32 Quis est Deus prter Dominum,
et quis fortis prter Deum nostrum?
33 Deus qui accinxit me fortitudine,
et complanavit perfectam viam meam.
34 Coquans pedes meos cervis,
et super excelsa mea statuens me;
35 docens manus meas ad prlium,
et componens quasi arcum reum brachia mea.
36 Dedisti mihi clypeum salutis tu,
et mansuetudo tua multiplicavit me.
37 Dilatabis gressus meos subtus me,
et non deficient tali mei.
38 Persequar inimicos meos, et conteram,
et non convertar donec consumam eos.
39 Consumam eos et confringam, ut non consurgant:
cadent sub pedibus meis.
40 Accinxisti me fortitudine ad prlium:
incurvasti resistentes mihi subtus me.
41 Inimicos meos dedisti mihi dorsum;
odientes me, et disperdam eos.
42 Clamabunt, et non erit qui salvet;
ad Dominum, et non exaudiet eos.
43 Delebo eos ut pulverem terr;
quasi lutum platearum comminuam eos atque confringam.
44 Salvabis me a contradictionibus populi mei;
custodies me in caput gentium:
populus quem ignoro serviet mihi.
45 Filii alieni resistent mihi;
auditu auris obedient mihi.
46 Filii alieni defluxerunt,
et contrahentur in angustiis suis.
47 Vivit Dominus, et benedictus Deus meus,
et exaltabitur Deus fortis salutis me.
48 Deus qui das vindictas mihi,
et dejicis populos sub me.
49 Qui educis me ab inimicis meis,
et a resistentibus mihi elevas me:
a viro iniquo liberabis me.
50 Propterea confitebor tibi, Domine, in gentibus,
et nomini tuo cantabo:
51 magnificans salutes regis sui,
et faciens misericordiam christo suo David,
et semini ejus in sempiternum.]
